Project: ISB Gümligen
This new building unites all age groups of the school - from kindergarten to high school - under one roof.
The concept of arranging all rooms on a single level grew out of clear specifications regarding organizational, educational, economic and increased security requirements. The school building is 164 feet wide and 460 feet long and totals some 75,000 square feet. A short construction period and sustainability requirements inspired a hybrid construction method with prefabricated mass timber and concrete elements.
